AET (Academies Enterprise Trust)

At AET, our mission is pure and simple: to enable our pupils to lead remarkable lives. This is the golden thread that binds us all together – the reason that despite our very different paths to AET, we are all part of one family. Find out more about AET here and watch the #RemarkableLives video or read more here.

Our journey with educational technology

AET's journey with EdTech begin in the summer of 2011, migrating the central Trust team to what was then known as Google Apps for Education. Since then our academies have each forged their own path to the cloud, developing their use of collaboration within school, across the Trust and beyond.

The core of our EdTech ecosystem is Google Workspace which the Trust and our schools have been developing expertise in for almost 10 years.

Prior to the pandemic we had established a network of #innovAETors across the Trust and during the pandemic they were the catalyst that drove deeper and wider use Google and EdTech tools to support collaboration, remote learning and well-being for our schools and the supported schools in the first year of the EdTech Demonstrator Programme.
